Arc De Triomphe 2014 Betting Guide - Treve Claims Famous Repeat Win
The Arc De Triomphe Odds are already proving popular and one that is towards the head of the market is of course Treve who is looking for a second win in the famous race. The filly showed a stunning turn of foot to win at Longchamp last year and although she hasn't been in the same form this season, it is hard to ignore her claims this weekend.
The best 3-year-old filly of the season so far has certainly been Taghrooda for John Gosden having won the Oaks and King George so far and she appears to be on target for Longchamp with a live chance. She produced a stunning display at Ascot to beat the boys in the King George back in July although she did lose for the first time in the Yorkshire Oaks last time out which did dent her star slightly.
Japan have gone close to training an Arc winner in recent years and they could have another contender this season with Harp Star getting ready for Longchamp this weekend. She won the Japanese 1000 Guineas back in April and is clearly highly thought of in Japanese racing which means she is one to watch.
Another horse to have caught the eye this season in France is the exciting Avenir Certain who will run in the Arc with an unblemished record. The filly has won all six of her starts so far and was a Group 1 winner at Chantilly back in June when she won the Prix De Diane in some style and plenty believe she has a chance on Sunday.
Arc De Triomphe 2014
Last year the race was won by the excellent Treve who completed a brilliant season with her shock win at Longchamp at a big price. One of her main adversaries was Orfevre and he is likely to be back in 2014 and featuring heavily in the latest Arc De Triomphe Odds following a a top class season as a five-year-old.
Ballydoyle and Aidan O'Brien always have a strong hand at Longchamp with two good chances in the Arc De Triomphe Form Guide. O'Brien looks to have a good chance of claiming his third win in the race with Australia among others looking like potential runners at this stage.
