Arc De Triomphe Result 2010 - Workforce

The build up to the 2010 Arc De Triomphe was as exciting as ever with potentially one of the most open races ever assembled at Longchamp, there was no clear favourite before the race with Franch fancy Behkabad the slight favourite before the off. Workforce was all the talk before the race with the Derby winner only confirmed by Sir Michael Stoute just days before the off.

In the end it was the right decision to run Workforce as he emerged form the pack over the final couple of furlongs to claim a famous victory, under a brilliant ride from Ryan Moore Workforce held off a charge from Japanese raider Nakayama Festa. Sarafina ran on well from the pack to claim the third place but she was someway off the winner who continued his great season a a three-year-old.

There was some disturbance back int he field which put paid to the chances of the likes of Lope De Vega and Fame And Glory, but in truth none of them would have been able to live with the performance of Workforce who gave Sir Michael stoute his first Arc Winner.
