Leading Trainers

There are many trainers worth a mention in this section but we are ging to concentrate on the ones that have a really good record in the race and in particular in recent years. The 3 that we will focus on are Andre Fabre, Aiden O'Brien and Saeed bin Suroor

Andre Fabre

It is difficult to find word to describe his dominence in French racing as he has won the French flat trainers title 19 out of 19 and this goes some way to highlight his dominance. He has won the Arc De Triomphe 7 times in total and he also has a top record training winners who go onto win in other countries. When considering your Arc selection make sure you consider Andre's horse or horses in the race before you come up with your favourite for the race.

Aiden O'Brien

While Aiden has only won this race on the one occassion he trains for John Magnier and Michael Tabor and they have won the race between them 3 times in recent years with two of these winners with other trainers. In recent years all their horse are generally trained at Coolmore and with his victory in the 2007 race with Dylan Thomas one can expect that there is more to come from the Irish trainer and he has the favourite for the race in Soilder of Fortune in 2008.

Saeed bin Suroor

The Godolphin operation like to have runners in all the major races around the World. They had a couple of winners in the early stages of their set up with Sakhee and Marienbard in successive years but have not being back to the winners enclosure in the race since then, but they can never be written off and Frankie loves to ride a winner on the big occassions.
