Arc De Triomphe Contenders 2011 - Meandre

Meandre has proven himself to be one of the better three-year-old horses in France this season and Andre Fabre is now prepariing him for a tilt at the Arc at Longchamp. Fabre has of course trained the winner of the Arc De Triomphe more times than anyone else and he will be hoping that Meandre will add to that tally this season. His most impressive run of the season came in the Grand Prix De Paris at Longchamp back in July when he won well in a good field to claim the impressive Group 1 for connections.

Latest Meandre Arc De Triomphe 2011 Win Odds

Meandre beat the likes of Seville and Reliable Man in that win at Longchamp which has to go down in the book as good form ahead of the arc, he seems to be improving which is a positive for his backers and he looks to have genuine claims. Fabre will be putting all his eggs in the Meandre basket following the sudden retirement of Derby winner Pour Moi and that alone makes him a real contender. Meandre has form over the Arc course and distance with that win in the Grand Prix de Paris which is another plus, amongst his own age he looks to be one of the best but he will have to find somethign extra against the like of Workforce and Sarafina.
