Sarafina is another top horse for the home team and she will have a good chance of running into a place at Longchamp after a good season, she has won two of her three starts so far this season and looks to be improving as we head towards the Arc. She will be hoping to follow in the illustrious hoof steps of Zarkava who was the superstar filly who won the Arc back in 2008.

We saw Sarafina run in the Arc last season as a three-year-old where she ran with credit to finish in third place behind eventual winner Workforce. That piece of form alone means that Sarafina must be respected this season, she is another year older and is sure to be stronger and fitter heading to Longchamp for trainer Alain De Royer-Dupre. We saw her run behind Planteur on her seasonal debut at Longchamp back in April before following up with two successive wins at Saint- Cloud in fine fashion. She has an impressive turn of foot which will be needed in the Arc and she has to be a nice each-way bet for the race this season, it will be hard for her to take the win at Longchamp but she deserves her place in the field and has to be well respected.

Sarafina has been made the favourite for the Arc following the retirement of Pour Moi and that has been confirmed with her win in thw Prix Foy. The Foy is a key trial race for the Arc and although she had a troubled passage she did find enough to win to impress the bookmakers and punters alike, that has seen her price shorten and she is now the horse to beat.
