Arc De Triomphe Contenders 2011 - So You Think
So You Think is a fascinating runners in this season's Arc De Triomphe after an a brilliant first season in the norhtern hemisphere. He had a stunning career down under in Australia where he was considered one of the great horses, he has continued that in Europe by adding a further three group 1 wins to his CV. He won the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh back in May although he did not beat much over the 1m 2f distance,it was his first big run in Europe and he duly won in style.
Latest So You Think Arc De Triomphe 2011 Win Odds
Perhaps the best performance from So You Think this season came at Sandown when he won the Coral Eclipse back in July, he beat 2010 Arc winner Workforce into second place after a titanic tussle over the last furlong or two. That run followed his below par second place at Royal Ascot in the Prince Of Wales Stakes, he was run down by Rewilding in the final furlong after going off an odds on favourite.
His run at Royal ascot was a little disappointing but he has bounced back since with that win in the coral Eclipse and last time out when he won the Irish Champions Stakes, he held off a game charge from Snow Fairy that day but did enough to claim another run. There is no doubt that So You Think has the class to win a race like the Arc, the only doubt surrounds the trip as we are yet to see him run the 1m 4f trip in Europe.
